WPT Vienna Final Table - Meet The Finalists

Apr 15, 2012

Seat 1: Morten Christensen – 2,540,000

Morten Christensen

Morten Christensen was our Day 2 chip leader and the latest in a long list of Danish poker players to shake up the European game. He has high hopes of following in the footsteps of Jannick Wrang, Frederik Jensen and Mickey Petersen, all of whom have won major European titles in recent months.

Christensen is 27 years of age and qualified for WPT Vienna through the online satellite qualification route. He is a relatively inexperienced live player with only three cashes to date, so this final table performance is his greatest achievement to date.

Seat 2: Norbert Szecsi – 1,710,000

Norbert Szecsi

Norbert Szecsi is 21-years of age and hails from Hungary where he is a student. This is his first ever WPT event and he has no significant live cashes on his resume. He has only been playing poker for one year and so this is an amazing achievement for the man who loves his sport.

His favourite TV show is the Trueman Show and he will get to experience a little bit of that phenomenon during this final table.

Seat 3: Konstantin Tolokno – 1,085,000

Konstantin Tolokno

Every competiion has a rock, a player who proves that you can be patient, wait for big hands and manoeuvre yourself through fields as large as 396 players and reach the final table. In the final day’s play he was the least active player, by a mile, and yet people kept paying him off, which is how he survived with over one million in chips.

Tolokno is the most mature player at this final table aged 38 and he has been playing poker for 8 years.

Seat 4: Goswin Siemsen – 875,000

Goswin Siemsen

Goswin Siemsen was our Day 3 chip leader and eeks through to our final table with the shortest stack on view. Siemsen, who was wears his trademark woolly hat, counts Viktor Blom as his favourite player and Finnish Chinese Poker as his favourite game.

This is Seimsen’s first WPT event and first significant cash.

Seat 5: Ognjen Sekularac – 3,430,000

Ognjen Sekularac

Ognjen Sekularac is a regular on the European poker circuit who has amassed over $450,000 in live tournament winnings, but interestingly, his two previous WPT cashes have come in events held Stateside. He is by far the most experienced player at the final table and is also our chip leader.

Sekularac is the owner of a sports betting company and has gambling running through his veins. He has been playing poker for 3-years and says that his great achievement to date is still coming. Maybe that will change after today?

Seat 6: Ben Wilinofsky – 2,270,000

Benjamin Wilinofsky

It has been one hell of a week for Ben Wilinofsky. It started amazing, went South pretty quickly but now stands at the precipice of greatness. He managed to navigate his way through a host of amazing pros to qualify for the WPT Special Event PartyPoker Premier League V but then it all went wrong. Wilinofsky had a terrible run of situations that resulted in him finishing bottom of the group.

But during WPT Vienna his luck has turned. Although an amazing player in his own right, the former EPT Berlin champion and winner of over $2.7 million online, will be the first to admit that the poker Gods were shining on him yesterday. Wilinofsky found himself needing a miracle, on several occasions, and dealers delivered each time.

Sekularac might have all of the chips but Wilinofky is the only player who has the experience of sitting down at a final table of a major event and ending it with all the chips.
