We arrive following a [Qh][6h][4d] flop in a pot that was later explained to us had been limped four ways preflop, with the players involved being Jason Koon (small blind), Lyle Vincent (big blind), Jay Nair (under the gun), and Sean Yu (late position).

Our arrival coincides with Koon finding himself in the tank and contemplating a decision. It appears that after his initial check, Vincent pushed all in from the big blind for about 17,000, Nair folded, then Yu has reraised all in for 37,575 total. The action is back on Koon and he thinks for some time before finally deciding to make the call.

Koon turns over [Ah][5h] for the nut flush draw, Vincent shows [7d][5c] for an open-ended straight draw, and Yu shows [Qc][Js] for top pair of queens. Koon expresses surprise at Yu’s hand while also saying he’s glad to see he’s drawing live. "I thought I was gambling," he says.

The turn brings the [7s] and both Koon and Vincent are still drawing. The [Qd] then falls on fifth street to improve Yu to trips and win him the pot. Vincent is out and after a count of Koon’s chips its confirmed that Yu had him covered, too.

"Unbelievable," says Koon as he departs. "I limped preflop with [Ad][Ac]," explains Nair, adding another interesting twist to the hand.

Sean Yu – 92,000 (230 bb)
